Susie Risho / Ira Byock:
StoryKeepers: A Way to Heal

Story synopsis

The Missoula Demonstration Project in Missoula, Montana, a county of 96,000, was launched as a 15-year experiment to improve the quality of life for the entire community by looking at the end of life and how persons prepare for death. Ira Byock, author of the book, Dying Well, started the movement out of his work as a medical doctor and with hospice.

StoryKeepers is one aspect of the Project where director Susie Risho explores how stories can be healing towards the end of life and how to enhance that part of one's life by recalling the stories.
